For the past week, I've been living in Gainesville, GA on the campus of Adventures in Missions (AIM) with my squad. We started our time there with parent launch where the parents of World Racers were able to come on campus and experience part of launch. The World Race has it's own section of Parent Ministry which I am so grateful for. Both of my parents came down for parent launch and were able to meet some of the staff, hear stories, and worship with us before they left.
Those goodbyes were hard, I'm going to be completely honest. After parent launch was over, we spent the rest of the week getting trained and prepared to go onto the mission field and how to serve the Lord in it. We got to spend a lot of quality time with our teams (who I will introduce in a later blog) and we shared lots of laughs, some tears, and great conversations.
This year is all going to be about flexibility. Which was already put to the test when we found out some changes to launching. Due to some covid restrictions, our first country changed and we are now spending two months in Honduras! This allows for deeper connections with our ministry partners and those we will minister to.
It sounds like wifi might be a little more challenging to find than I originally thought, so I will do my absolute best to keep you all updated and send out blogs when I can!
Honduras here we come!
